Chiropractic office in Northfield, MNReception CounterIn the photo below, the customer-perspective of this reception counter was rather bland. Also, the edges were trimmed in wood, and over time and many customers leaning against the counter, the wood became discolored and the finish started deteriorating. (You can see the blackening of the wood better in the full resolution photos). In the after photo, you can see how much nicer the counter looks from the customer perspective (not to mention being raised to a more comfortable height for dealing with paperwork while standing). Instead of wood edge on the countertop, we used laminate on the edging for durability, to prevent future discoloration.

For full resolution photos, click here!Reception DeskIn the photo below, you can see the original standard reception counter the client started with. The client had a store-bought reception desk behind the counter for the receptionist. The client was unhappy with the height of the counter (too short) which caused the customers to lean over the reception counter and deal with the receptionist at a lower level than them (her sitting, them standing). In the after photo, you can see how we raised the height of the counter to a level comfortable for the customer (without them needing to lean over). Also, cubby holes and added counter space (custom designed to the client's needs) make organization and workflow easier for this office. Not to mention how much nicer it looks!

I don't have to tell you, in the winter, it was pretty darn cold! Also the look of the wall was impersonal and any scuffs or scratches really stood out. In the after photo, you can see how adding wood trim softened the look and warmed up the feel of the office. Also, we were able to add insulation to the wall behind our trim, so it also literally warmed up the office and saved heating costs.
